The Disable Commission of the Asian
Traditional Sports and Games Association (ATSGA) is established in
alignment with the principles and provisions of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with
Disabilities (UNCRPD), with a commitment to equality, non-discrimination, accessibility, participation, and
respect for human dignity.
The Commission works to ensure that persons with disabilities have full and effective
participation in traditional sports, indigenous games, and martial
arts as a fundamental human right and an essential element of cultural
inclusion.

participants and leaders, not merely beneficiaries. The Commission
promotes participation without segregation, wherever possible, in line with UNCRPD Article 30(5).
Vision
The Disable Commission envisions an inclusive
Asia where traditional sports and games
serve as instruments of equality, empowerment, cultural identity, and social
inclusion for persons with disabilities.
By aligning traditional sports with the UNCRPD framework, the Commission contributes to human rights, sustainable development, and inclusive cultural heritage preservation across Asia.
